“Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who does righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous.” (1 John 3:7, MEV).

True Christians are to be loved for God’s and Christ’s sake. Those who so love them not, but despise, and hate, and persecute them, have the serpentine nature still abiding in them.

My Prayer: “Father, because I am a new creature in Christ, you have taken the serpentine nature away from me. Help me, every day, to live as Christ-like as possible, even when it is difficult to do so in the face of such an ungodly culture and society. Give me a pure heart every day that your light may shine through me.”
