Before God elevates you, He often brings you to your knees. The weight of the season you are walking through becomes too heavy to carry alone, and all of your self-sufficiency gets stripped away. You stop being the person who prays out of routine and you become the person who prays because you have no other option. You pray with urgency, you pray with tears. You pray because your life literally depends on it. 

This is exactly where God wants you because elevation doesn’t go to the comfortable — it goes to those who are completely dependent upon Him. Your desperation in prayer is NOT weakness. It is the posture of someone God is about to move through in a powerful way.

God will give you a vision, a dream, a word, a sign — something that shows you the destination before the journey is complete. And then, He makes you wait. You can see it but you can’t touch it. You know it’s coming, but the timing isn’t yours to control. Abraham saw the Promised Land. Moses saw it from the mountaintop. David was anointed king years before he was ever crowned. The gap between the promise and the fulfillment is not wasted time. It is where faith is built and character deepened. 

God shows you the destination early because He wants you to trust the process — even when the process is painful. If you are walking through this, hear this: You are not behind. You are not forgotten and you are not being punished; you are being prepared. The weight you are carrying is not bigger than the God who called you.

The same God who took Joseph from the pit to the palace, who turned Esther’s waiting into a crown, who took a shepherd boy and made him a king, that same king is working on your behalf right now. Don’t despise the process. Don’t rush it. Don’t try to escape it. Let God do what only He can do in You because the promise is closer than it looks.
