“Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16, MEV).
A throne speaks authority, and bespeaks awe and reverence. A throne of grace speaks great encouragement even to the chief of sinners. There grace reigns, and acts with sovereign freedom, power, and bounty.
Lord, let me come boldly to your throne of grace and repent of my sin and know that I will be shown mercy when human beings refuse to. You are slow to anger and not you will forgive me of my sin if I ask you. Thank you for your grace and mercy. Show me situations where I need to show others the same, and forgive those who do not.
